Pivotal Counseling and Coronavirus

Dear Clients,

With the increasing attention and concern about the coronavirus, I wanted to reach out to all clients of Pivotal Counseling, both my own and Leighanna's, about this issue.

For the wellbeing of ourselves, our clients, our families, and all those we are going to come in contact with, we are taking the following precautions, effective immediately.

Online Tele-Video Services

We strongly encourage you and all clients to consider switching sessions to meet online (or by phone, if preferred) whenever possible to help reduce the likelihood of any transmission of coronavirus.

Reducing Transmission In Office

For those clients who are not able to meet online, we will be doing the following to reduce the likelihood of coronavirus transmission in office.

  1. Office Cleaning: Offices are already wiped down nightly by custodial staff. Starting today, we are wiping down all office, kitchenette, and waiting area surfaces at least twice during the day with a Lysol cleaning solution.
  2. Social Distancing: We will be refraining from shaking hands, fist-bumping, elbow-bumping, or other physical forms of greeting.
  3. Personal Hygiene: We will be washing hands between each session.

Client Responsibilities

  1. If at all possible, please switch to online sessions.

  2. If you or anyone in your home appears to be sick, please do not come into the office and instead meet online.

  3. Please understand that if you do come to the office and appear to be sick, we will need to end the session and send you home until you are well again.

Going Forward

As circumstances continue to develop, we will send out further updates.

Our mission at Pivotal Counseling is to help our clients work towards and live their best lives. Our goal at this point is to continue to due that in ways that focus on building and supporting not just mental and emotional health, but physical health also. We are incredibly fortunate to have the technology available to work with clients online and support your continued growth and healing, particularly during such a stressful time.

If you have any questions or concerns about these measures, please feel free to reach out to your Leighanna or I at any time.

Warmly,

Ethan Bratt, MS, LMFT, CST
